Shaun White Shares His Story In All New HBO Series

Shaun White is by far the most famous snowboarder in the world. At one time he was the very best, a child prodigy, but other than being a gold medalist and X Games champion in the limelight, his personal life has been kept pretty private. Now White is giving fans a look behind the curtain at what it was like growing up in the public eye. He tells from childhood to now, aging out of the snowboarding competition realm as only he can in his new HBO series airing now.
Back in the early 2000’s White was at the top of his game. He was known as “The Flying Tomato” and his red hair was his most notorious feature. He was winning X Games and Olympic gold medals but in reality, he was the breadwinner of his family. He tells of good times with his family but the struggle of being the money maker and son was a tough battle. He seemed to take it all in stride and now that he is getting older he is happy with his journey in the sport.

Being as dominant as he was for over twenty years, it seems strange that White is no longer the best. He is no longer pushing the pace and being the one to beat. He is stepping down from competition and a new generation is rising up. He is now transitioning to other avenues and has brands that he has built to support him.
White will always be synonymous with snowboarding but now it will be in a new way. Many of us grew up on Burton and Ride snowbairds and now kids will have the pleasure of growing up with WHITESPACE.
