Charlize Theron set to work on Netflix film about women equality in surfing

Charlize Theron is diving into the world of surf films. The award-winning actress is going to be involved in a Netflix film based on the big wave women surfers and their journey to get equal pay. Theron will be teaming up with Niki Caro, the director of Disney’s Mulan.

The story will follow four women, Bianca Valenti, Andrea Moller, Paige Alms, and Keala Kennelly as they have been fighting to bring equality to big wave surfing.

The Committee for Equity in Women’s Surfing has been fighting to allow women to have the same opportunities as men in contests and pay.

There is no word if Theron will be starring in this film or if she will just be involved in the making of it.
