The Cuervo Surf Ranch Classic Longboard Contest Fan Guide
The Cuervo Surf Ranch Classic is the first contest for longboarders in a long time.
While the WSL Championship tour has been back up and running for the better part of this year, the longboarders have been sitting patiently. Now it is their time to get back in the water. The WSL announced that they will be holding The Cuervo Surf Ranch Classic on Sept. 29 at the Surf Ranch in Lemoore, California.
This is the first event on the Longboard Tour since the Noosa Longboard Open back in Feb of 2020. This Surf Ranch Classic will be focused on style. The format will see the top 18 women and 18 men each riding two lefts and two rights. The two best scores will move them up the leaderboard and eventually into the semifinals and finals.
“The Surf Ranch guarantees us perfect waves all day, as well as the most level playing field you could ever hope for, while First Point, Malibu provides the best possible surf venue to crown a World Longboard Champion,” said Devon Howard, WSL Longboard Tour Director.
